This course aims to develop the knowledge and skills that antimicrobial resistance (AMR) focal points need to submit surveillance questionnaire and validated data to the InFARM IT platform. The course is also available for national personnel that, not being AMR focal points, have a strong interest in AMR and InFARM. It should be studied as a continuation of the self-study course “InFARM essentials: An overview", available on the Virtual Learning Centers learning platform.

The target participants include existing and future InFARM focal points with backgrounds as veterinarians in public or private practice, veterinary laboratory specialists, animal health officers, field epidemiologists, paraveterinarians, animal health technicians, and faculty members and students of veterinary and animal sciences, as well as other stakeholders engaged in small ruminant health, including extension agents, researchers, and policy advisors.

Course structure

The course consists of three, self-paced modules and seven short videos. You can study these at a time and place that suits you and use them as a ready-reference resource as needed. The course supports multiple platforms and can be studied on a smartphone, computer, or tablet device.
