Academia		Many FAO projects in the countries of the region are formally or informally linked to different universities and educational centers, either through professional exchanges, consultancies or other areas of collaboration. FAO Campus, together with RLC's Partnerships Area, has among its main objectives to expand the link with Academia and establish a corporate strategy for working with universities in the region, based on the creation of new collaboration agreements, the search for new partners, and the strengthening of the work that has already been carried out over the past decades.

Multimedia		Our objective in this area is to produce content related to FAO's priority areas in the region in new formats and with new methodologies, and to seek agreements for its distribution. This will be done in partnership with countries’ ministries of education, agriculture, environment, social development and others, as well as universities and other national and regional networks. In this way, FAO's impact on all levels of education will be expanded. FAO Campus aims to implement massive campaigns to disseminate audiovisual materials with a gender, intercultural and inclusion approach through various regional and global channels. This initiative seeks to open up innovative spaces for the incorporation of new technologies, especially with regard to training and learning.

Capacity Development		FAO Campus seeks to develop capacities and contribute to the coherence and sustainability of training activities in the region, so that the efforts made by FAO in conjunction with various actors can generate lasting and transformative changes in Latin America and the Caribbean. Capacity development enables the acquisition of skills and the dissemination of experiences in the transformation of agrifood systems and stimulates the adoption of innovations and good practices to achieve better production, better nutrition, a better environment and a better life. FAO Campus intends to strengthen capacity development activities in the countries, based on new partnerships, the incorporation of new actors and an expansion of the scope of the Organization's interventions, ensuring their quality, sustainability and scalability.

Knowledge Management		As part of the effort to incorporate a programmatic approach into the design and implementation of FAO's actions, this component seeks to promote a culture of effective knowledge management. This will make it possible to value and disseminate the lessons learnt and knowledge generated in the field by the Organization's projects and programs, through a series of actions: country support plan to strengthen the systematization of experiences; creation of a regional repository; identification and systematization of innovations in countries on issues related to the Four Betters; and plan for exchanges, dissemination and visibility of knowledge management products.

Impact		Provide advice to countries to ensure the quality, sustainability and scalability of training processes, seeking to influence changes in productive and professional practices. The impact component of FAO Campus involves coordination with countries and internal and external partners from various sectors, which is closely related to the programmatic approach adopted by FAO in its new Strategic Framework. Moving “from project to program” has been a concern during 2023, and together with the Regional Program and the Field Program of the FAO Regional Office for Latin America and the Caribbean, FAO Campus promoted various activities to strengthen the competencies of FAO country teams on issues related to the project cycle, the strategic framework and knowledge management.
