This course introduces Green Agriculture (GA) as a sustainable approach for the transformation of agrifood systems to more efficient, inclusive, resilient and sustainable agrifood systems. This concept on GA also contributes to the SDGs for better production, better nutrition, a better environment, and a better life, leaving no one behind. Challenges such as climate change, soil and environmental degradation, water scarcity, biodiversity loss, and access to resources pose a threat to the sustainability of agrifood systems and food security and livelihoods. Therefore, the course also offers solutions and case studies to address these challenges related to Green Agriculture.

This course supports the objectives of the project “Scaling-up Green Agriculture in Europe and Central Asia,” which aims to strengthen regional understanding of GA through both online and offline capacity-building activities.
