This course aims to strengthen the knowledge and skills needed to collect field-level data on animal disease events and report them in real-time using the Event Mobile Application (EMA-i), developed by FAO to support veterinary services in enhancing surveillance, decision-making, and national early warning systems. The course focuses on competencies and practices in animal disease event data collection, reporting, and visualization. It includes two parallel training streams: one for field staff responsible for data collection and another for central veterinary services that receive and analyze the data. The course is suitable for blended learning formats, combining online content with face-to-face training.
