This course introduces the FAO Assessment Tool for Laboratories and AMR Surveillance Systems (ATLASS) and explains its use in epidemiological surveillance and laboratory diagnostics. Participants will learn about the role of an ATLASS assessor, and the steps involved in conducting an ATLASS mission. The course is designed as part of the training for both new ATLASS assessors and ATLASS focal points preparing for an assessment visit.

Course structure
|
|
The course consists of six self-paced online modules, covering core concepts, followed by two half-day virtual workshops focusing on problem-based learning tasks. At the end of the course, participants complete an individual assignment to apply the skills gained during the course.
