Recent global and regional threats, such as avian influenza, African swine fever and COVID-19, have demonstrated the growing need to develop the capacity of veterinary services and animal health professionals in Asia and the Pacific. The Virtual Learning Centre for Asia and the Pacific (VLC RAP) has been established to address this, using digital solutions to support capacity development initiatives in the region. It aims to provide accessible, interactive and tailored in-service trainings to reach large audiences in a cost-effective manner.
