I forgot my password. How can I reset it?

Click on the “Forgot my username or password?” link on the login page and then enter the email address you used when you registered with us. A new e-mail will be sent to you with instructions on how to reset your password.

If you have followed the instructions above to reset your password and you still cannot login, you can contact us by e-mailing: VLC-Global@fao.org. Please make sure that you provide us with the e-mail address that you used when you registered with us originally.

I forgot my password. Can you send it to me?

For security reasons, we don’t have access to your password and so are unable to send it to you. However, you can reset your password by clicking on the “Forgot my username or password?” link on the Login page as described above.

Can I update my personal information?

You can easily update most of your personal information, including your e-mail and password. Your personal information page is accessed by clicking on your user name in the upper right corner (near the log-out link), that is visible when you are logged in.

When can I start a course?

Since the FAO Virtual Learning Centers courses are mainly tutored and with schedules to follow, you can check the news section in the website to remain updated on the upcoming courses. If interested you can then register to participate. A selection process will be in place and you will be notified in case of successful registration.

I have logged in. How do I take a course?

Once you are logged in, click on “Courses” in the menu and then you will be able to select the courses you are enrolled in.

Can I take a course on my smartphone or tablet?

Yes. All VLC courses are accessible from a smartphone or tablet and some are specifically designed to resize for smaller screens.

Can I print out the course?

In most courses, a text-only version (or learners’ notes) is provided for each lesson (in PDF format).
