      In this section, we will cover the basics of biostatistics in epidemiology, an inferential statistic in epidemiology and errors in epidemiological measurements.

      By the end of the module, participants will be able to:  

      • explain the basic concepts of biostatistics in epidemiology, including application of descriptive and inferential statistics at the population level to accurately describe and conclude disease situations or events;
      • explain the types of errors in epidemiological measurements.
