This course aims to improve capacities of veterinarians in livestock disease control, particularly in the stamping out process. It covers the three steps of stamping out: humane killing of animals for disease control, safe carcass disposal, and effective cleaning and disinfection of infected areas.

The course was developed for Europe and Central Asia and is adaptable for other regions.

Course structure

The course opens with a live webinar, followed by seven self-paced online modules, live online small group case studies, and discussions led by expert tutors. A multiple choice assessment must be successfully completed to obtain the course certificate.
